Did you go to the BBC Good Food Festival at Hampton Court a couple of weekends ago? If you did, you will most probably have seen us cooking up a storm with a2 Milk™.

One of our most popular recipes on the day was dauphinoise potatoes! The samples were being eaten quicker than the oven could keep up with, and at one point there was a queue for the latest batch being taken out of the oven. A sign of a recipe going down well!

This particular recipe is quite special to me, because I was taught how to make it by one of the descendants of the original recipe creator!

Back when I was a little girl, just starting out on my cooking journey, we used to spend every summer in the Jura mountains in France. Every single day, to give my grandmother a break, we would go to a local restaurant for lunch, and over the years we got to know them very well!

One summer, the owner and head chef invited me to learn how to make this popular dish, from scratch, in his kitchen!

It is a foodie's dream, and I know how very lucky I was!

As is always the case with a good recipe, the beauty lies in it's true simplicity.

The flavours do all the work, there's no added extras.

All you need is patience and love, and you end up with a delightful recipe that everyone will love!
