Bing review 1

First Impressions

A few weeks ago, we were asked if we wanted to take part in a review of the brand new Bing magazine.

Bing is a much loved character found on CBeebies, and adored by toddlers, Callum included. The magazine is packed full of stories, activities, games and more. It's a riot of colour that will appeal to little ones, and will keep them entertained for hours. Every time we go shopping, Callum always asks if he can buy a magazine, and often we buy one as a treat for being brave after hospital appointments (of which there are many).

As Callum is quite a fan of Bing, we jumped at the chance. So, here is Callum’s very special review!

Mummy’s take

At first glance, the magazine stands out. It uses bright, bold, primary colours that will instantly appeal to little ones, and definitely helps it to stand out.

The price point is pretty standard, retailing at an RRP of £3.99, and is what you would expect to pay for a magazine like this.

The front of the magazine has additional ‘toys’ stuck to the front which offers extra appeal, and were certainly given approval by Callum who loves anything that helps him to dig in the garden.

As you work your way through the magazine, it’s got a lovely way of drawing young readers in, with a great selection of:

  • Games
  • Pictures to colour in
  • Maths questions
  • An introduction to early writing
  • Learning about the alphabet
  • Stories featuring much loved characters such as Bing, Flop and Sula

Our thoughts

The magazine is a lot of fun, pitched perfectly at little ones, and definitely a good buy! We’d recommend it for all little ones and it will help with the summer holidays and keeping little ones entertained for sure!
