Allergy Show London 2017 - held at London Olypmia, 7th July, 8th July, 9th July. The home of all things allergy and intolerance. Top brands and products! Food tasting and sampling. Shopping. A fun day out for all the family! www.intolerantgourmand.com
It doesn’t seem possible, but it’s that time of year again when London Olympia becomes a hive of activity, and people of the allergy world convene for one of the biggest health shows to take place in the UK.

For the 1st time in years, I had to miss it last year as I was getting married.

This year, my lovely husband is on kiddie duty while normality resumes and I attend all 3 days of the Allergy Show!

For anyone who suffers with allergies, intolerances and more, the Allergy Show is quite simply THE place to visit!

The first of the annual shows kicked off back in March in Glasgow. It’s already doubled in size since its launch 2 years ago, which you can read about here!

Now, it’s the turn of London. To get a feel of the show, take a peak at my thoughts on the show from a couple of years ago here!

This weekend, the Allergy Show returns to London Olympia for 3 packed days of fun, advice, shopping, learning and more!

I’m also going to be presenting at the show, alongside the fabulous Steve Walpole, Head of Food at Ugo Foods Group. We’d love your support, so make sure you come and find us, we promise it will be an entertaining presentation!

Aside from this, there’s an abundance of exhibitors, offering a whole host of different experiences, products and advice!

The Allergy Show team work tirelessly all year to bring even better events for us, and it shows! The calibre of these shows are impressive. They’re run like clockwork, increase footfall year on year, and attract ever more brands. It’s also THE place for brands to launch new products and bring to market the ideas they’ve been working on.

Sounds exciting doesn’t it!

As always, here’s my top picks for you to keep a look out for!

The Exhibitors (my pick)

a2 Milk – we are big fans of a2 Milk, as you can read about here. Our lovely friends will be on hand to give you all the details you need, and a little taster of why a2 Milk is so good! For the bloggers attending, keep a look out for a little something extra if you’re coming along to the bloggers meet up!

Allergy UK – the lovely team will be on hand as always, to answer any questions you have about allergies, and how best to live successfully with them. We’ve long been supporters of this fabulous charity as they were a huge support to us back in the early days of Callum’s journey when we were trying to figure out what was going on!

Bute Island Foods – we are quite simply huge fans of the ‘sheese’ produced by this fab team. They have absolutely nailed it when it comes to dairy-free ‘cheese’ and we really recommend you visit their stand to see for yourselves! They are constantly bringing new products to market, and are impressing everyone with their full ‘sheese’ board options!

FoodMaestro – If you’ve not heard of this wonderful app before, then go and download it right now! It’s an app created to help you when you shop. Simply create a profile detailing the foods you need to avoid, and it will help you to shop safely. It’s constantly updated to stay accurate, and we’re big fans!

Foods Matter – The fabulous team who are home to FFFA and FFEOA will be on site to keep an eye on the emerging products, entice people to join the FFFA for next year and delight in the winning products from this year! They are a truly wonderful and friendly team so do pop over and say hi!

Haydn’s Wish – Keep a look out for their iconic mascot that likes to play hide and seek around the show! It’s not possible to visit a show and not see the wonderful Emma and her lovely team! The charity is named in memory of her son Haydn who sadly passed away after an anaphylactic response to peanut in his breakfast. Emma has used her experience to raise as much awareness as possible to keep others safe! Emma is quite simply an inspiration to us all, and I urge you to pop by and say hi!

Yorica – If you love ice cream, you HAVE to visit this fab award winning team and try out some of their amazing samples! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

Tesco – One word, Carl!!! Our lovely friends at Tesco will be offering you samples from their multi award winning range! Key samples to try have to be the new and improved Carl the Caterpilla, the garlic bread, their a-m-a-z-i-n-g ice creams (hello cornetto equivalent!!) and more! If ever you had a supermarket upping their game and jumping ahead of the opposition, this team is definitely it!

Free From Fairy – It would be criminal to go to the show and not visit the amazingly talented Vicki! It seems incredible that it is only a year since Vicki launched her award nominated flour, which has taken the culinary world by a storm. Even Caroline Quentin has confirmed she is a big fan! Vicki’s flours are a world first as her mixes are nutritionally balanced, full of the good stuff, and impressively, don’t contain rice. This clever lady is making history with her flour, and we’re loving how successful she is and how exciting her journey has been so far!

The Dressquerade Sauce Company – A brand new product to market, these delicious sauces are made using raw ingredients. They are taking the culinary world by a storm! The founder Tanya, very kindly sent me some to try, and out of the 6 delicious flavours I got to try, there were even 3 safe sauces that Callum could eat. This doesn’t happen often, so I urge you to go and see for yourself!

Ugo Foods Group – Winners of a FFFA with their Evexia brand this year, Ugo Foods are leading the way when it comes to fresh gluten-free pasta. A family run business that’s now into its 3rd generation at the helm, this fantastic company is changing the perception of gluten-free pasta. With fresh butternut squash filled ravioli, as an example, this award winning and forward thinking company is a league ahead of everyone else! Make sure you visit and try out some of Steve Walpole’s recipe samples. They’re quite simply amazing!

There's also talks across all 3 days, presentations, food galore to try and more!

So you see, there’s something for everyone, and so much to do!!

One note of caution for you all before you attend

Please please please make sure that you still exercise caution when trying out foods! It may be called the Allergy Show, but you MUST still check all labels as not all the food on show will be everything free. I have personally witnessed a mum give her child something to try at an allergy show without checking the label, only for the child to have a big reaction just minutes later. What ever your normal safety routine is, continue even in this environment! You don't want an unnecessary reaction upsetting your day!

Right, preach is over! I hope you all have loads of fun visiting, please let us know how you get on, and what you think!

Carl the Caterpillar - a new and improved version of Carl! Now dairy, wheat and gluten free! Delicious chocolate cake that everyone will love! Perfect for childrens parties! www.intolerantgourmand.com

Allergy Show London 2017 - it's THE show to attend for allergies and intolerance! Packed full of stands with food, tips, advice, support and more! Dairy-free, wheat-free, gluten-free, nut-free, egg-free and more! www.intolerantgourmand.com
